And I'm a bit of an idiot. Here's a inaccurate step-by-step guide.
First, I took of the air on inlet, because it looks like if I did, along with that grill surrounding the hood release, I could get my hand behind to where the screws were and unscrew it from there.
It's all off after a bit of work.
And there is the rear of the badge with enough space behind for a screw driver, but wait... Those aren't screws.
Turns out all I had to do was take a flathead and pry it off from the front.
Oh well, at least I know how to access the front of the radiator now.
Looking good.
And here is a bonus shot of the GDi engine without the cover. You'd be happy to know that it comes off and goes back on easier than Lego piece. I guess it's just for sound deadening.
The rear badge has been on for about a month now.

thanks, the "H" backing is still there which bothers me a bit, but I think it looks better overall
